Regnans on TV: Boneseed at Dodges Ferry for NRM South
In May 2008, Regnans enviro contracting pty ltd was on the news!
ABC News crews came to our site at Dodges Ferry, to report on the
works being undertaken to control Boneseed across Tasmania.
Sandy Leighton of NRM South was interviewed, as was Glenn Szalman of
Regnans (described as an abseiler . . . )
The news segment went for around 2 minutes, and explained what
Boneseed is, why it is a problem and the level of funding the federal
government is putting in to controlling it ($250,000 across Tasmania).
The hope is that boneseed will be able to be eradicated from the Derwent
Valley.
It was a good site for TV, being very steep and visually interesting.
Unfortunately copyright prevents us from providing the footage here,
but we have some still photos taken by Justin H (one of our workers).
